Subt Lemon on stage at the Willow Festival July 2003

You may have heard the London radio traffic reports around Midday on Saturday 12th regarding a horsebox blocking the inner lane of the M11. Apologies if you were caught in the 10 mile tailback. To make things interesting, Shiner, the Subt Lemon in-house horsebox driver, had absent-mindedly avoided purchasing RAC cover for his horse-bearing vehicle. The Police loved that.

Miraculously however, 5 hours later (and cutting a long and fairly tedious, though at times intense story very short) Subt Lemon took to the stage only 5 minutes late and played another roaring, monstrous, fire-starting set. Barbeques were fired up all over the showground out of respect.

The day was saved by, and has to be dedicated to The Candyheads, who provided back-line equipment in a lifesaving demonstration of good will and compassion that was nothing short of tear-jerking. www.candyheads.co.uk

As a nice conclusion to proceedings, Star Radio 107.1FM DJ Andy Bishop apparently caught the set and has requested demo copies of the album for his show on Thursday afternoons. So you know what to listen to when you're in the Cambridgeshire area. Many thanks to those who came to witness the carnage.

The next official gig is the Suffolk Music Festival 'Gig in the Park' on Saturday 9th August. 8pm on stage. There will be more dates announced very soon. Expect Fire Departments in the area to be on super-white-hot alert. Not sure how long this fire-theme will be used, so enjoy it while it lasts... SL Thronging crowds at a festival somewhere else. Subt Lemon not in shot.
